Do you suffer with a jaw that pops, clicks or locks?  Do you grind your teeth during the day or at night?  Do you experience painful headaches?  Does it hurt to bite or chew food? Are your upper back, neck and shoulders a source of discomfort to you?

If you answered YES to any of these questions then you may have TMJ Dysfunction.

What is TMJ Dysfunction?

The Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) is a lengthy way of saying "your jaw".  Dysfunction of the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJD) occurs when there is pain or imbalance expressed in the jaw joint itself as well as with the musculature and soft tissue that are involved in moving it.

Secondary complaints commonly arise from TMJD in areas of the back, neck and shoulders.

What is Intra Oral Therapy?

IntraOral Therapy is a hands-on way to address the muskuloskeletal and structural issues of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD) by going  INSIDE THE MOUTH.  Restrictions of the muscles of mastication, fascia, tongue are accessed and treated.

One time use, nitrile (non-latex) gloves are worn during the treatment and constant communication is kept with the client to ensure comfort, safety and a successful  treatment.

Self care programs are given throughout the treatment plan to continue and further success at home.

IntraOral Therapy is also beneficial to individuals:

• who are going to or have already undergone lengthy dental procedures (root canals, extractions, cleaning).

• who use their voice for their profession (singers, actors, pastors).

who are seeking a complete package to their overall health and wellness regime.
